Built by Singers Who Needed It

Sing Your Part wasn't born in a music studio. It was born in a pew.

Our Story

When Isaiah and Michael joined churches with strong singing traditions, they ran into the same problem: they couldn't keep up. The congregation around them was singing in four-part harmony, and they were stuck on the melody — or worse, just mouthing the words.

They wanted to sing confidently on Sunday morning. They wanted to lead their families in singing at home. But neither of them had the musical background to teach themselves harmony parts from a hymnal, and there wasn't a good tool to help.

So they built one.

On June 3, 2024, Isaiah and Michael went full-time on Sing Your Part. Michael brought decades of software engineering experience. Isaiah brought years of admissions and sales work at trade schools — and a deep understanding of how to make complex things accessible to ordinary people. Together, they set out to build the tool they wished had existed when they first walked into a singing church.

What We Believe

We believe singing is for everyone — not just the musically trained. Christians have been singing psalms and hymns together for thousands of years, and that tradition shouldn't be limited to the people who can read sheet music or pick out a harmony by ear.

We believe the best way to learn to sing is the same way you learn a language: by hearing it often, participating often, and understanding it more deeply over time. Sing Your Part is designed around that principle.

We believe church leaders shouldn't have to choose between a rich singing tradition and accessibility. With the right tool, every member of a congregation can be two taps away from all their church's music — in the car on the way to work, at the dinner table during family worship, or in the pew on Sunday morning.

What We're Building

Sing Your Part is more than a practice tool. It's a platform for churches to build and maintain a singing culture. We give music directors the tools to plan liturgy, schedule music, and send daily singing plans to every household. We give families a simple way to sing together at home. And we give individuals the confidence to learn their part and sing it boldly.

We're based in Boise, Idaho, and we're building Sing Your Part through our company, Crescendo Software LLC. Every feature we add starts with a simple question: would this have helped us sing more confidently when we first needed it?
