How to practice this hymn
- Play it through once and just listen.

- Turn your part up and the others down. Sing it alone.
- Bring the other parts back, one at a time.
- You have it when you can sing your part with your own slider all the way down.
About this hymn
Carl Boberg wrote the original Swedish poem in 1885 after a thunderstorm, and Stuart Hine's English version came out of his years as a missionary in Ukraine in the 1930s. The refrain is a big, slow swell; the alto and tenor hold the chord together while the soprano climbs. Take it under tempo until the lower parts are solid.
