About this hymn
Henry Baker's 1868 paraphrase of Psalm 23 reads the psalm through John 10; the shepherd is Christ. John Dykes wrote the tune Dominus Regit Me for it the same year. It is quiet and short, and the parts move gently; a good hymn for a family to learn together.
